Campitello is a rather big and lively town, placed at the beginning of the Duron Valley, and dominated by the group of the Sassolungo. It is surely provided of all kind of services: chemist's shop, surgery, post office, bank,camping, sport center with golf course, park, a wonderful promenade liningn the Avisio stream and a ski school. In Campitello there is also the modern cableway of the Col Rodella, very crowded both in summer and in winter. The parish church is situated on the top of a little hill dominating the town and it is a little difficult to reach mainly during the winter, because of the snow and the ice on the steep street. Also the inner part of the town is very nice, near the beginning of the Duron Valley, where you can still found some caracteristic houses built with stone and wood.

Pian is avery small village, very nice, where you can still observe the the tipical life of the mountains not yet dominated by the tourism. Pian can be reached in three different ways: through an asphalt road that begins next to the church, through a small path that turn off the main road of the Duron Valley on the right, just beyond the second bridge of the Duron stream, or finally through the path of the "via crucis" who climbs up the slope between the church and the old station of the chair lift. In Pian begins a small and not very crowded path who lead to the top of the Col Rodella. The landscape over Campitello is wonderful.
