THE LADIN FLAG
The
ladin flag is composed by three horizontal stripes: green, white and blue, in
order to represent the grasses, the snow and the sky. The first apparitions of
this symbol date back to the 20es, when the new identitary awareness of the
ladins began to develop. Banded during the fascist dictatorship as an
anti-italian symbol, it was reintroduced after the second World War and then it
survived untill nowadays. In the last time, this flag was the center of a clash
between ladin and the members of the SVP (Südtiroler Volkspartei), that wanted
to replace it with the red and white flag of Südtirol.

THE FLAG OF FASSA VALLEY
The flag of Fassa Valley, also called "Flag of the seven colors" is composed by seven horizontal stripes representing the seven villages of the Valley, from Moena to Canazei.
You can find it in each folk celebration of the Valley, always togehter with the over described ladin flag.
THE SYMBOLS OF THE "GIUDIZI"

The "giudizi" were administrative regions of the Middle Age, in which the land of Ladinia was divided; the symbols of these regions are often still present in modern pictures. The Giudizio of Tor included the zone of S. Martino in Badia; the one of Ampëz comprised the actual; the one of Mareo-Val Badia takes in the zone between La Val and Corvara; the one of Fascia included Fassa Valley except Moena ; the one of Fodom the actual Livinallongo and finally the Giudizio of Wolkenstein, in the zone between Selva and colfosco.
