SKIAREA CATINACCIO |
|

A - Thoeni
MEDIUM
START: 2000 m END: 1400 m
This slope begins next to Refuges Ciampedie and Nigritella, and set out for left. Few meters after the slope begins and cut through the woods of Ciampedie. The track is rather large and doesn't show difficulties. At the end of a good skiing you'll reach the high part of Vigo di Fassa, next to the cableway Ciampedie, that allows to climb up again.
B - Tomba DIFFICULT
START: 2100m END:1800m
It's a modern track served by the chair lift Pra Martin. We can see it as the classical direct slope that dives from the top of the hill to the valley below. It's rather streight and, in spite of the artificial snow, it could happen to find som iced stretches, due to the position on the northern side of the mountain. The strong incline makes this track one of the most exciting of the Valley; its name comes from the fact that this slope was the track where the italian champion used to train before the world championship.
C - Ciampedie
VERY EASY
It's a classical baby slope, very short and with a little incline, next to Refuge Ciampedie. I suggest it to beginner skiers.
D-E
- Pra Martin MEDIUM
START: 2100m END:1800m
We can define this slope as the easier alternative to the pist Tomba. The start is next to the chair lift Pra Martin; the track sets out for east, and the incline becomes a little stronger. A large turn leads than the slope to the last straight, where it crosses the slope coming from Ciampedie Refuge. The last part shows a constant incline and, surrounded by an enchanted landcape, you'll reach in a few minuts the end.
F -
Cigolade EASY
START: 2080m END:1800m
It's a wonderful track winding among the woods situated between Ciampedie and Gardeccia hollow. Served by a chair lift, this slope is the ideal for beginner skiers, but also for the rather skilfull ones, who want to venture on reckless zig zaggins. The track is rather long and streight; the incline, very gentle, remains constant along the whole slope.
G-H -
Vaiolet EASY
START: 1800m END:1350m
It's a slope that, served by two stretches of chair lift, joins the village of Pera di Fassa with Ciampedie. In the first part it's similar to the Cigolade slope; large and constant gentle incline. After the station of the second chair lift, the track enter the wood and becomes more narrow; through comfortable sharp turns you'll loose height, going down the the woods next to Pozza. Without reaching demanding inclines, the track leads to the ancient church of S. Lorenzo; from here, through a steep slop not always snow-covered or through a comfortable asphalt road, you'll reach in a few minutes the chair lift.
