Te anter i Tobié

The celebration of "Te anter i Tobié" takes place generally around the second week of July in Canazei. This ladin expression can be translated in english as "between the barns". The Tobià is in fact the tipical building with a masonry basis and the higher part made of wood: it is always been the center of the life of all the ladins during the centuries. The lower part of this building served as cattlesheld, while the other rooms could act as food supplies store or as woodshed.

During the three or four days of the fstival, the old barns are re-opened in the center of Canazei, next to the ancient church of S. Floriano: each tobià offers you different atttractives, from the cultural ones to the gastronomical ones and the handicraft. You can find also little stages for the exibition of music group or the refreshement stands.
