CAMPITELLO - MICHELUZZI REF.

This tour is an alternative more exhausting than the classical promenade that from the center of Campitello leads to Refuge Micheluzzi , at the beginning of Duron Valley. The starting point is the central square of Campitello; walk along Morandin and Bellavista Street till the Hotel Stella Monits. Behind it begins a little path that with a regular incline turns left and climbs up the meadows just over the town, crossing a group of "tobié" a few meters higher that the little skilift of the Ski-School. Once you have crossed the meadows almost untill the village of Fontanazzo, the path enters the wood. The incline becomes steeper and after having turined right the way goes on with an exhausting straight stretch. A pair of turns make the ascent a little easier but the path remains rather steeep; in some stretches some fallen trees could block the way, but it is not difficult to cross them. After aroud twenty minutes the path turns again right in the last  steep stright stretch at whose end you'll finally reach the top of a hill, where you'll find a little meadow with a bank with a panoramic view.  The path becomes now wider and grassy and goes on in direction of Duron Valley in a long flat stretch. The wood thins out and the way descends softly untill a little grassy valley, on whose left you can see the top of the Ponjin and on the left the wood you've just crossed. In ten minutes you'll reach the end of this clearing, where the path enters again the wood and through a pair of sharp turns leads to a very steep meadow, just over the Druon Stram, next to Refuge Micheluzzi (1862m)
