Through this alternative it is possible to connect the normal track of Sellaronda with the skiarea Pralongià, between Alta Badia and Arabba. It's a nice solution, the plains of Pralongià offer a wonderful landscape on the Group of Sella and the Marmolada; the slopes are rather easy and everyone can ski here without problems. This tour is a little longer than the classic Sellaronda, but the landscape is much better and the slopes are less crowded.

Costes de l'Ega     Col Alt (p.1568m a.2000m)

Near the station of the cableway Boè, in Corvara, the old and slow chairlift Costes de l'Ega leads you until the higher part of the village, on the road to Campolongo Pass; from here an almost flat path allows you to reach the station of the new calbleway Col Alt. In case of queue by the chairlift it is recommanded to cross the village by walking until the cableway Col Alt. Once you've reached the top, a brief but steep slope on the right leads you to the next lift.

Through this chairlift you cross the soft slopes of this skiarea, entering a wonderful landscape. At the end, taking an easy slope in direction South, follow the signs to Arabba; it's a long straight stretch, almost flat, that allows you to enjoy the magic sight on the Group of Sella and the Piz Boè (3152m).

Pralongià 2

Through this modern chairlift you go up some little hills in direction East; once you've reached the top, take the wide slop along the track of the skilift. After the first not so steep stretch, the slope turns left near the Refuge Incisa (1950m), the startin point of the skilift. Go straight on, following the signs to Arabba; the track is rather long but always wide and with a very soft incline; it seems like the track would go in the opposite direction to the Sellaronda, but it's the right way. At the end of the slope take the chairlift on the right, near the Refuge La Vizza (1760m).

La Vizza (p.1760 a.2095)

This long chairlift crosses the wonderful forest on the eastern side of Campolongo Pass, until the Refuge Cherz (2090m). From the top a wide and easy slope leads you to the Pass; the last stretch is rather small and steeper, but you need only a little more attention. Once you've reached the end, cross the street and then you can take the normal track of the Sellaronda (skilift Bec de Roces)
